What is Blue Apatite?

Apatite is a naturally occurring phosphate mineral that can form in several colours, including green, yellow, violet and blue. The gorgeous blue variety is particularly sought after for its vivid colouring, which can range from pale aqua through to intense blue-green shades.

Interestingly, apatite is also an important mineral in geology — its name comes from the Greek apatáō, meaning “to deceive”, because historically it was easily confused with other minerals.

Metaphysically, Blue Apatite is traditionally associated with motivation, inspiration, communication and mental clarity. It's often chosen when you need a little push to stop thinking about what you'd like to do and actually start doing it!
