Crazy Lace Agate is a variety of banded chalcedony, a microcrystalline form of quartz.

It forms when silica-rich fluids slowly fill cavities in volcanic rock. Over time, repeated layers of silica settle and harden, creating the distinctive lace-like banding and swirling patterns. The warm yellows, creams and browns come from trace minerals, particularly iron, introduced during formation.

The result is a stone with complex internal structure and naturally high visual interest — no two beads are ever the same.
