About Trolleite
Trolleite is a rare phosphate mineral first discovered in Sweden in the 1800s, but significant deposits are now found in Brazil. It often contains inclusions of Quartz and Lazulite, giving it unique colour variations from pale blue to deep indigo, sometimes accented with white, grey, or brown. These colours come from trace minerals such as iron, manganese, and magnesium.
Formed over millions of years through high-grade metamorphism, Trolleite is the result of intense heat and pressure acting on phosphate-rich rocks, often alongside quartz veins.
